Presentation Guidelines

Oral Presentations: 

Presentation time will be 15 minutes. Please plan your talk to be 12 minutes in length, allowing for a few minutes of Q&A. 

Please upload your PowerPoint presentation to the link provided in your acceptance email by Friday, January 26, 2024. There will be a PC available onsite with all received presentations to make any last-minute changes, or to test your presentation file. You will receive a confirmation email that your presentation has been received. Please contact USHUPO@conferencesolutionsinc.com if you are having trouble uploading your files.

 

Poster Presentations: 

Posters will be on display Monday or Tuesday. Posters displayed on Monday should be set up between 7:15 AM and 8:15 AM. They must be taken down promptly at the conclusion of the poster session at 6:00 PM. Posters assigned to Tuesday will need to be put up between 7:15 AM and 8:15 AM. They must be taken down promptly at the conclusion of the poster session at 6:00 PM. Any posters remaining after 6:30 PM will be discarded.

 

Poster presentation space is limited to the dimensions of 44 in. x 44 in. (112 cm. x 112 cm.). Push pins will be provided on-site to affix your poster to the display board.

 

Poster Presentation Details: Odd-numbered poster boards will present on Monday and even-numbered poster boards will present on Tuesday.

 

Monday, 24 February
Poster Session 1 (odd numbered) 
Install:  7:15 AM – 8:15 AM
Presentation Time:  4:30 PM – 6:00 PM
Dismantle:  6:00 PM

 

Tuesday, 25 February
Poster Session 2 (even numbered) 
Install:  7:15 AM – 8:15 AM
Presentation Time:  4:30 PM – 6:00 PM
Dismantle:  6:00 PM

Poster Sessions Location: Millennium Hall and Foyer at the Loew's Hotel.
 

Poster Printing:

There is a FedEx located in the Loews Hotel lobby near the valet. We are currently working with them to secure a discount code. If we are able to obtain one, we will send an email to all poster presenters. Please check back for updates!

 

There is also other options available near by.

 

Lightning Talks:

Lightning Talk sessions are scheduled for Monday and Tuesday, immediately before the poster sessions.
 

Presentation Guidelines:

  • Each presentation is strictly limited to 60 seconds.
  • The purpose of the talk is to highlight your poster presentation and entice attendees to visit your poster. Avoid giving away the full story in your brief talk.

Slide Submission Requirements:

  • Upload only ONE slide—no animations are allowed.
  • If multiple slides or incorrect formats are uploaded, your submission will be returned for editing.
     

Please arrive at the session room 15 minutes early and plan to stay for the entire session. Session chairs will call presenters in groups based on their poster numbers (e.g., P01, P02, P03, etc.) to indicate when it's time to line up. Staff will be on hand to verify and organize presenters into the correct order.
